Our
Story
How it all started..
Our Project started 2020 and has grown over recent years - we have involved villagers in birdbox workshops, footpath clearing, tree planting, wildflower growing and planting and had Open Information evenings. We now have a committee to plan events and fundraising activities.

Aims
The aims of the group will be:
-
To maintain and improve the environment of The Parish of Ashleworth with regards to wild flora and fauna.
-
To raise awareness, within the community, of the existing wildlife, factors which are detrimental and what can be done to improve the environment.
-
To liaise with, and take advice from, other agencies such as Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Gloucestershire Naturalists Society and RSPB
-
To record, to the best of our ability, levels of wildlife within the Parish in order to determine increases or decreases.
-
To work with the Parish Council and local landowners to decide upon areas which are suitable for wildlife improvement.
-
To respect the wishes of Farmers and landowners with respect to their requirements.
-
To pass on relevant information to other villages or parishes who wish to undertake a similar project.
